A brief overview of OANO's member services and the vast
array of resources OANO has to offer to Ohio's nonprofits. Also
discussed will be OANO's Standards for Excellence, and ethics and
accountability code for Ohio's nonprofit sector, current public policy
issues facing Ohio's nonprofits, best practices for public policy
development, and related tools.

The Ohio
Association of Nonprofit Organizations (OANO) strives to
provide leadership, education, and advocacy to enhance
the ability of Ohio's nonprofit organizations to serve
their communities. Ohio's nonprofit sector has access
to a wide variety of tools such as educational
trainings, sample policies and procedures; and a
certification program covering best practices for
nonprofits.
In this session, Ms.
Eschbach will provide a brief overview of OANO's member services and the
vast array of resources OANO has to offer to Ohio's nonprofits. In
detail, Ms. Eschbach will discuss OANO's Standards for Excellence, an
ethics and accountability code for Ohio's nonprofit sector. Ms. Eschbach
will discuss current public policy issues facing Ohio nonprofits.
Participants can expect to learn about best practices for public policy
and development; and about the tools OANO offers to help organizations
achieve excellence.
Jennifer Eschbach serves
as the Director of Marketing and Membership of the Ohio Association of
Nonprofit Organizations (OANO). OANO is a statewide membership
association of 550 nonprofit organizations representing the breadth and
diversity of Ohio's charitable nonprofit sector. OANO's mission is to
provide leadership, education, and advocacy to enhance the ability of
Ohio's nonprofit organizations to serve their communities.
As director of marketing and membership, Ms. Eschbach oversees the
programming, member services, and annual events for the organization.
She is a graduate of The Ohio State University, and serves on several
nonprofit planning committees including the United Way of Central Ohio
and Keep Grove City Beautiful. Prior to joining OANO in 2004, Ms.
Eschbach was a news anchor and reporter for the FOX affiliate in Toledo,
OH.
