Perhaps one of the
most iconic nicknames in baseball was Mr. October. Reggie Jackson earned
the moniker for his clutch hitting in the World Series. Regardless of
how you may feel about the Yankees, you have to appreciate someone who
excels in high pressure situations when the stakes are the greatest. As
fundraisers we are always expected to operate at top form. With a
sluggish economy and increased competition for charitable dollars, none
of us can afford to be in a slump.
Through AFP, you can
learn to become your own Mr. or Ms. October by joining us for
Career Success Institute’s 2010 Out of the Park
Fundraising, an educationally rich day featuring some of the
nation’s best fundraising minds and top nonprofit leaders.
In addition to the
outstanding programs, CSI offers attendees the opportunity to interact
and network with area fundraising colleagues. Save the time and expense
of going away to a national conference and join us on October 1 at Kent
State University's Stark Campus. It’s guaranteed to be a home run!
All
the Best,
Laura
National Philanthropy
Day is our opportunity to say “Thank You” to the people, organizations,
foundations, and corporations that do so much for our community. Our
2010 award recipients will be honored at this year’s luncheon on
November 12 at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn.
Sponsorships are now

donor or volunteer that you would like to recognize on National
Philanthropy Day? Consider becoming a
Presenting or Community Champion
Sponsor. Both of these sponsorships provide you with the opportunity to
recognize your best friends in this great venue amongst their peers.
New This Year:
All event sponsors will appear in advertisements promoting National
Philanthropy Day in both the Akron Beacon Journal and The Repository,
serving greater Canton.
