Going after governance or development volunteers for
your organization? This program addresses the art, science, and
intuition around selection, pre-qualification, specificity asking,
orienting, engaging, and the aftermath of active service from the point
of view of an organization CEO and chief development officer.
Bob Kulinski has been President of United Way
of Summit County since 2000. Prior to his current position, Bob was
President of United Way of Roanoke Valley in Roanoke, Virginia, United
Way of the Cape Fear Area serving Wilmington, NC, and United Way of
Torrington, Connecticut. Bob is also a United Way of America trainer and
consultant. In addition to his professional experience, Bob has
been a volunteer and leader for numerous community and professional
organizations including: Social Services Advisory Board; Heart to Heart
Communications (past Board Chair); Project GRAD Akron (past Board
Chair); Families and Children First Council; Healthy Summit 2010
(Advisory Board Chair); Akron Reads volunteer; Leadership Akron Class
XVIII; and United Way National Presidents Roundtable (President).
Katie Rennard has been with United Way of
Summit County since September 2003, serving as Senior Vice President of
Resource Development. She also held that position with United Way of
Greater Chattanooga, TN and United Way of Roanoke Valley. She currently
serves as United Way of America and Ohio United Way Training
Facilitator. Prior to joining the United Way she served as President of
the Catoosa County Chamber of Commerce in Ringgold, GA. Katie has 17
plus years of nonprofit experience with a diversified background in
management including resource development, sales and marketing. Katie
has always believed in the value of service to the community and some of
her current volunteer experiences include: Akron Roundtable Board (Vice
President); Kiwanis Clubs of Ohio (Past State Board Member); Akron
Kiwanis Foundation (Past President); Kiwanis Club of Akron (Past
President); and Junior Achievement Volunteer Instructor, Virginia,
Georgia and Ohio.
