BoardSmarts!! will focus on the general expectations of board members and how they can impact your fundraising efforts. Ms. Otto will discuss several approaches to helping new board members further the efforts of your fundraising program.
Ms. Otto has held various marketing, human resources, and sales management positions with AT&T, ComDoc, and MCI. She has also served on numerous boards, including the Akron Symphony, Akron Roundtable, Cascade Locks Park Association, Leadership Akron, the Rotary Club of Akron, the Commerce Club of Akron, and the Akron Torch Club. Ms. Otto has also raised significant funds for many Akron-area organizations and has chaired fundraising events for several local non-profits. She has extensive experience with facilitating meetings and has consulted for boards in various capacities. She is an alumna of Leadership Akron and was elected President of her class in 1989. Ms. Otto also served as a facilitator for the Imagine Akron 2025 initiative and was honored as a recipient of the DSMA award by Sales & Marketing Executives of Akron.
