About The Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation:

The Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation was founded in 2001, in Hudson, Ohio as a private family grantmaking foundation. Burton D. Morgan, Margaret Clark Morgan’s husband, provided the initial donation to establish the foundation and honor his wife, Peg. The Foundation works to pursue the interests of Peg Morgan, a long-time Hudson resident and active community member. The Foundation’s primary focus is the mental health field, with secondary focus on education and arts projects.

Since 2003, the Foundation has contributed to The University of Akron in support of the Archives of the History of American Psychology. The Foundation has also provided stipends for the Archives to hire graduate assistants to arrange, describe and make available unprocessed manuscript collections involving the history of mental health research and practice The Foundation provided the Archives with funding for a web developer to maintain and update databases and the Archives website.

In May 2006, The Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation provided the Archives with a leadership gift to complete the design development study on the future home of the Archives and the Center for the History of Psychology. The design development study will move the project through the architectural design renovation documents and into the renovation of the 61,000
square foot warehouse located on the corner East Mill and College Streets in Akron, Ohio.

The Foundation intends to invest more than $3.5-million per year into the mental health, education, and arts community in the greater Summit County and Northeastern Ohio area.
