Through contributions from the Charles Schwab Foundation, Schwab Corporate and Retirement Services in Richfield, Ohio has been a member of the Humane Society of Greater Akron's Leadership Circle for the past two years. The Humane Society of Greater Akron has been the beneficiary of Schwab's annual corporate-wide Volunteer Day, (FERSTT Aid Day) for the past two years. In 2005, Schwab volunteers built a pathway from the shelter to the park trail, moved gravel to fill holes and flattened the stone parking area, and weeded, planted and mulched the shelter grounds. Schwab FERSTT Day volunteers returned to the Humane Society in 2006 to beautifying the grounds and to dig trenches inside the cages of outdoor kennels, filling them with railroad ties to prevent the dogs from digging under the fences.

Other area organizations that have benefited from the company include: The Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Club, Battered Women’s Shelter, Weaver Workshop, Special Olympics North Canton, American Red Cross, Susan G. Komen Foundation, American Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Heart Association and Haven of Rest. Schwab also supports Akron Children's Hospital by sponsoring the "Change Bandit Bash" each year in conjunction with a radio-thon.
