Why should I give to the 2006 Campaign?
The Every Member Campaign not only raises money to help the
International AFP Foundation promote philanthropy, but also benefits our
local chapter. If the Chapter meets its EMC goal, 25% of the total
raised is returned directly to the chapter to support our local
programming, scholarships, and continued growth.
Your support will:
- Increase accessibility to educational program
opportunities for members and non-members;
- Enhance fundraising practices throughout
Northeast Ohio, encourage others to adopt the Code of Ethical
Principles and Standards of Professional Practice;
- Strengthen our public education initiatives to
promote philanthropy; and
- Provide scholarships to nonprofit professionals
in Northeast Ohio.
The AFP Board will approach all members in late summer/early fall to
contribute to the EMC. The chapter depends on your participation to
receive a critical portion of its funding from the national association.
Please consider renewing your 2005 support or becoming a new
contributor. This is our chance to “walk the walk” by demonstrating
among our peers what we ask others to do—to give to causes that in turn
benefit others. It’s also an investment in ourselves, as we all
individually benefit from what the EMC makes possible.
Please e-mail questions about the Every Member Campaign to Mark
Sheffler at mscheffler@lakron.com.
