About Ron and Joan Burbick:
Ron and Joan Burbick and the Burbick
Foundation have been essential partners to many non-profit
organizations in Portage County including the Kevin Coleman
Foundation, Robinson Memorial Hospital and the Robinson Memorial
Hospital Foundation, Leadership Portage County, Family and
Community Support Services, Children’s Advocacy Center, and the
Animal Protective League.
In giving of their time, talent, and treasure,
Ron and Joan have hosted and planned the Right at Home event for
the Kevin Coleman Foundation. Ron serves on the boards of the
Kevin Coleman Foundation and the Robinson Memorial Hospital
Foundation, and serves as board chair for the Children’s
Advocacy Center of Portage County. Beyond the local area, Ron is
serving as co-chairman of a $15 million capital campaign for his
alma mater, Alderson-Broaddus College in West Virginia.
With a strong belief in leadership and
volunteer opportunities in Portage County, Ron helped to create
Leadership Portage County and the Burbick Foundation founded the
Youth Leadership Program for high school students. A cause near
and dear to Joan’s heart is the availability of services for
older adults with Alzheimers and dementia, which led to the
building of Burbick at Coleman, housing Coleman Professional
Services’ Portage Area Senior Services program.
